Unlike some firms that represent clients on both sides of the aisle, we only represent organized labor groups and their employees. We do not accept employers as clients.
Our regional offices provide us with the opportunity and privilege of representing employees across Pennsylvania. Because we are devoted to representing public sector employees, our lawyers have years of experience appearing before the arbitrators, hearing examiners and Judges that decide our clients' cases.
Negotiations or arbitrating a labor contract often involves a process of finding comparable employee groups to use in providing justification for wage and benefit improvements. Our statewide representation, with particular focus on police officers and corrections officers groups gives us an advantage in knowing, obtaining and utilizing the best, most accurate comparable material. In terms of understanding the case law under Acts 111, 195, 600 and the statutes pertinent to public sector law enforcement groups, our lawyers are second to none. Many of the most important cases decided under these statutes have been argued by our lawyers.
We are dedicated to the representation of public sector labor organizations and their individual members. Our mission is two-fold: 1) to help labor groups obtain the best labor contract possible through collective bargaining or interest arbitration, if necessary; and 2) to preserve and protect these contractual benefits. The protection of employment benefits often involves protection of individual employees. The nature of the work performed by the thousands of police officers and corrections officers we represent exposes them to uniquely dangerous situations and individuals with nothing to lose. Whether this results in officers injured and in need of disability benefits or victim to unjust allegations serving as the basis for disciplinary action, our lawyers have the training and expertise to ensure that all of our clients' rights are protected.
Our experienced attorneys specialize in public sector labor law, negotiating for contract benefits and litigating to protect and enforce those benefits.
